Value...

We provide value to our landlords by solving issues, giving suggestions and options.

Our landlords should only ever need to reply with one line emails and should never need to chase us.

Honesty...

Always be honest. Anything else is just a waste of everyone's time and energy. When giving advice, always suggest what is best for them - even if it is not something we provide.

Respect...

Act and speak with honour. Give your word and hold yourself to it.  Respect yourself and others.  Always be polite, open, positive and honest.

Ownership...

Make decisions and get things sorted. Sometimes you will win, other times you will learn - either way you will be happier. Just be prepared to explain your actions to the landlord.

Systems...

Trust and follow the systems, they are there to make our lives easier and provide a better service.  Always look to improve the systems.  Debate changes passionately and update the handbook if all affected staff have agreed.  Then trust and follow......  So we have an upward spiral cycle of improvement.

Positive Environment...

When frustrated by a situation, get to a solution quickly - don't let it steal any more of your time! No need to share frustration - Get Over It! and focus on something worth while.

If someone helps you - say thanks. And say thanks a lot. it costs nothing.

Learning...

When listening to others - actually listen and don't just wait for them to finish talking. Try not to say 'I know' either internally or externally.

Commitment...

If you start something, finish it. Completely. One hundred percent. Right to the very end.

Team...

You spend more of your waking time with your colleagues than your family.  Support, help and advise without judgement.

If you have an issue get it out in the open, deal with it and move on.

Outlook...

I have been a landlord for eight years with some properties self-managed and other out of area properties that are managed by agents. My experience is that generally most agents are only interested in the tenant find aspect and it is very rare to find an agent who manages the property well in good times and most walk away in bad times.

I have personal experience of priest properties management in the good times and the bad times. Their organised payments and progress reports allow me to run the property completely hands off and concentrate on other matters in the good times, more importantly priest properties greatly assisted in the eviction of a bad tenant which many agents don’t seem to understand the process and waiver any assistance.

I have used many agents over the years and my experience is that most agents are estate agents looking for a passive income and are really only interested in finding a tenant and call the owner at the slightest problem I can honestly say that priest are one of only two agencies that I can trust to run things.
